Fished Sat. & Sunday at Lake Cumberland. Sat. nadda, nothing, pulled boards and bottom fished. Marked fish in Wolfe Creek from Alg. II to the mouth of Dudley Creek but could not get anything to bite. Went to Caney Creek, saw several boats pulling boards but did not see anything on the fish finder to even get us to stop. Water was muddy the further back in the creeks. Talked to one guy who said he caught 1 striper on Sat. near Dudley Creek.
Sunday, decided to fish the mouth of Dudley Creek within sight of Alg. II. You could see the mudline coming out of the creek. Saw baitfish and started to pull boards out of Dudley Creek to the mudline in Wolfe Creek. As soon as we crossed the transistion line of muddy water to clear--two boards went down. Worked the mouth of Dudley the rest of the day and saw several boats pulling boards in the middle of Wolfe Creek working the Alg. II no wake area to Dudley. I took a couple of college students with me and we had a great time. All together we caught 5 stripers with the largest about 34" long and the smallest around 30". The biggest was about 17 lbs. Talked with several of the boaters and they all seemed to get their limit on Sunday. On fisherman mentioned that he caught 2 stripers around 40" that weighed about 20-21 lbs. We marked fish early in the morning in the 12-16 foot range and later in the day around 20' depth.
I usually fish on the weekends and during the last month, we have marked fish in this area. We have not seen any topwater activity-jumps. I hope this helps
