Now the water is from 45-47 degrees and the big fish are beginning to move up and start feeding. I like the areas within 5 miles north or south of Scottsboro in the spring because the shallower water in the mid to upper part of the lake always seems to warm up first. Some of the creeks even further up-river will warm up faster, but I don't travel that far if I'm catching fish near S-boro. Some big fish are already being caught on lipless cranks, spinner baits, and suspending jerk baits. I wish I could go, but work prevents me from chasing fish right now. Catch a big 'un for me ....
