I've used PowerPro 10/2 in hi-vis yellow ... Crappie fishing. And I've caught Smallmouth when using it (even though I was Crappie fishing at the time). Crappie don't seem to care about line color, either.
I'm of the opinion that fish don't give two hoots what color the line is, and are more interested in the bait & presentation. I'm also a line watcher, as I cast/swim jigs for Crappie, in most cases ... and I need to "see" the line, in order to see the lightest of strikes. That also indicates (to me) that I'm more liable to catch a fish, when I can see the line move, than if I can't see the strike and/or have to wait to "feel" it.
Personally, I think fish can see ALL lines .... even the flurocarbons ... they just don't/can't always equate the line as being a danger signal. But, if you're fishing gin clear waters, and/or don't have the confidence in colored lines not "spooking" the fish ... then your next best option might be to tie a leader to the braid.
Just MHO ... for what it's worth.
