The batteries should not lose that much without use. I'd say you have a cell going bad. Have you used a battery tester to check each cell? Actually, sounds like you don't need it now.![]()

When I charge my batteries they both charge to between 90%-100%, but after afew days they drop to between 40%-75%. Is it time to but new batteries or can I get another year out of them?

I would agree with DJD, sounds like a bad cell to me or more...Recommend a set of Trolling Motor Batteries from Wally World...Got a nice 2 year warranty on the Everstart Batteries. When one needs replacing they are hassle free, just keep your receipt in a safe place or just put in the storage packet located on the side of the batteries. Take the bad one in and get a new one, no questions asked....
If they are in the boat and hooked up, make sure that you don't have anything pulling juice. Try unhooking them from everything except charger, charge them, then unhook charger. If you still are losing voltage, they need to be replaced. You don't want them to die in the middle of a trip. If they are good it is time to look for the drain. It could be something left on like ignition or light switch or a bad rectifier could cause batteries to discharge.
If yopu do need new batteries, I second the Walmart batteries. They have a good warranty and if they go out on a trip there is a Walmart on every corner. It makes it easy to get them replaced.
unplug the trolling motor.
