We put in at Pumpkin. Fished here and there. A few snow flurries early. Mostly fished the fly. Had 2 real bites. One looked like a keeper smallmouth. Swam easily to the boat, jumped lazily, and then dove to the bottom like an anhor....Came off....Dooh! This was about 11 oclock. By that time the wind on the mainlake in Jamestown started steadily building. And the temp starting dropping. We headed back across the lake. By that time the waves were getting up. Headed back toward the ramp and decided to eat some grubb and regroup.
I guess Ma Nature pulled the trigger and really cranked up the wind. And it got real cold. SO, "to-heck-with-it:30" shortely followed.
It was cold!
Pulled out about 2:45CT and headed home.
Thanks for the trip.
