Fishin'below Wolf Creek Dam for walleye?

My brother wants to catch some walleye and I remember catching some below the dam years ago. I think we had good luck with jigs rigged with curly tail grubs. The bite might be decent after all the weather. Any thoughts or recomendations?

The walleye and sauger are terribly unpredictable. It all depends on the water being released from the dam, and the history (past couple of days/ weeks) of water release. You'll just have to go and give it a try. Jigs are perhaps your best bet. Just be ready for anything down there, high water lots of current/ low water prop hazards!

my dad went over last tuesday. fished from 9am till 2 and only had 3 walleye and one trout, but his biggest walleye weighed 8lb 11oz. caught them on a red/white maribou jig tipped with a minnow drifting out of the turbines...KP

Went by myself last night and got caught behind an accident on 127 south of Houstonville. I sat there for an hour. Kind of spooky. Nothing on the news. Looked here before KYT or WLEX though. Anyway, there wre a ton of deer and critters running around the roads on the way home, even saw a fox. Bet the fishin' was spectacular!!

A Fish and Wildlife Officer reported on another site that the Walleye and Sauger bite has been really good lately below the dam. Also said a number of people are catching White bass as well.
