Fishing Milton KY/ Madison IN

Does anyone fish in the Milton KY/Madison In Area? I am new to the board and was wanting to see if any members catfished/fished this area of the Ohio River. Vern

I used to fish with a Bass Club that fished out of the Madison Ramp on the Ohio river. Usually went up to the Little Ky and fished there or just hit the mouths of the creeks with crank baits and caught Bass that way......

Msg Mills, thanks for the reply. Yea the mouths of the creeks up and down the Ohio is a great place to catch some lunker bass and other fish as well. Vern

A great place to catfish is the power plant at Madison. You have to be very careful once you get up in there since the water is so rough and once you get so far in it will start to **** you in, but its not as bad as it sounds. You can catch plenty of cats in there but you will get hung up alot as well. I have heard that you are not supposed to fish up in there and you can get a ticket, but my last time up there we got checked by a IN. game warden and he did not say anything about us beimg in there, he just checked our liscense and wished us good luck.

ChickyBaBa, I fish in the warm water discharge at Madison quite often actually. I have seen some huge catfish come from there. As well as some nice Bass, LM/SM and hybrid and striped bass. The big stripers/hybrids will move up in there when the small skipjacks make their run. Vern
