I have to give these guys credit for outstanding customer service.

I went to fish Trail Creek in Michigan City this morning. I forgot my bait at home. Well, I tried Wally world because they were the only place open at that time of morning, but no luck. Lake Michigan Tackle is closed for the season. So after driving around town, I spotted West Marine. I waited for the store to open and was hoping to find some spawn sacs in order to avoid going back home. I was told they didn't have any, but the gentlemen said he'd make a call for me.

Now, I'm not very good with names and I forget this man's name, but I think he may be the owner. Anyway, he calls Jerry who happens to own Lake Michigan Tackle. I'm told to have a seat and relax for a few. Jerry drives over to West Marine and hand delivers some bait to me from his personal stash. Can you believe it? These are some top rate guys in my book. You better believe that I'll be in their stores when I need tackle or marine gear. Lake Michigan Tackle will re-open this spring around mid-March, give or take. West Marine is open now and has a pretty good selection of boating gear. Stop in if you're up that way.
