I read a thread on another board that said some people add the tail treble if fish are striking short.

I was looking at the Wag Tail Swimbait last night, and I saw that on its tail they left an eyelet without a hook on it. The bait has to sets of hooks, and I was trying decide why they left off the tail hook unless it interfers with the tail action. Does anyone have an idea why there is not a hook on the tail.

I was thinking that a feathered treble hook would look good on that bait.
