BFL/SnowStorm/GoodLuckCraiger
It seems that the first BFL tourney is going to be on Cland this Sat. I have a good friend Craig Middleton that will be fishing as a non-boater. Have fished with him a couple of times. It will be a good partner. Has a good idea of the lake. Ma Nature may try and spoil it. Have a safe trip to all of those that will travel from a long way off. Hope you all catch 20lb sacks.
Good luck Craig.

Thanks Billy. I look at it this way, it can't be any worse than that morning on Dale Hollow! Now that was a day that will not soon be forgotten. Believe me, I will make sure the plug is in the boat BEFORE it hits the water...Even if its not my boat!

Re: BFL/SnowStorm/GoodLuckCraiger
Middle of February, launching at Dale. Some nice fella has his truck and trailer backed into the water on a single lane ramp. So we back down a gravel bank to launch. In the midst of being pissed over the guy parked on the ramp, I forget to put the plug in the boat. So Billy backs the boat in, with me in it. I then realize as the boat comes off the trailer that the plug is not in....So i start yelling at Billy to pull back up. He flings the door open, goes to step out of my truck and for a moment forgets that my truck was riding on 38's with a 9 inch lift kit. So he does the splits mid air. We get the boat out of the water, get the plug in and relaunch. Air temp was 35-40 at that time. We fish around a bit, landed a couple, then out of nowhere, it starts freezing rain and sleeting. Needless to say, we were 5-6 miles from the ramp, and it was quite an interesting ride back. Nothing like sleet pelting your face on plane. Loaded the boat( by that time, the fella was kind enough to have moved his truck) and headed home. However, it was a day on the water, and a lesson or two learned.
