you can catch plenty with just two poles. Spinning gear with slip bobbers, splitshot sinkers and gold hooks and minnows. If you can see some marks on your depth finder try just above that depth by 1-2 feet. . or else just go to Taylorsville in any timbered cove around Settlers Trace over 25-35 feet of water, drop your minnows at say 10 and 13 feet and let it set for no more than 5 minutes. Get right next to the trees. If no bites, move bait (cast) to another location(s) or adjust depth. As it gets warmer, they will move a little shallower. That should work on rough and Nolin too. Also works with little jigs tipped with bee moth larva (wax worm). take a friend and you'll reduce time figuring out depth. My 2 cents.
