Best Baitcaster for the buck?

For the buck, the Cabalas prodigy that is on sale for $65 is a steal. It is a Daiwa made reel just a notch below the $150 Daiwa reel that is just outstanding.

If you don't go with the prodigy, I'd go Shimano. An old green curado will do well on heavier lures but won't compare to the prodigy on the light pitching lures. An old green Curado SF will though

Any of the $100 ish Shimano reels will do you well too and should be more affordable with the rebate.

Thanks for the advice. lots of great opinions. ill check ebay and the bp sale fri for sure...i guess im just a little weary of buyin a used reel...
