Has anyone ever used braided line for shakey heads?
I've generally used florocarbon, but got to wondering about using something like spider wire, or another thin braid.
Does anyone have any recommendations good or bad on this?

Been doing that for a few years now and I like it. I don't lose as many jig heads that way. I have been using spider wire.
I used nothing but powerpro last spring - very sensitive, but too hard to break off if you get hung. I switched back to flouro, when the water cleared up. I prefer the Flouro.
i have used braid with about an 7-8ft leader or flouro the past couple of months and love it
I use 10 lb. PowerPro...it has the diameter of 2 lb. mono...you can cast it a mile!!! It's ridiculous! I also use about a 6ft leader of 8lb. fluorocarbon when the water is kind of clear. It's good stuff!
I fish braid on spinning gear whenever I can. I've found it hard though to use braid with the technique you mention which I fish mostly around rocks. Thin braid cuts easily on chunk rock; one hookset on a rock and it is gone. Somehow the mono does not slide behind the rock as hard or deep.
