Beautiful lake and nothing like others around here. Shallow with max depth at dam around 40-50 feet. Grassey banks, permanent docks(for flippin) rocky banks. It has just about what ever you want to fish. I think it is 130-150 acres, and as far as horse power goes, it's 10hp or less. I have a 18' Stratos so I have to use trolling motor only. Can operate big motor to load and unload.
The fishing is almost unbelievable! It's not uncommon to catch 20-50 bass during a tournament. The big question is finding that KEEPER. They have a 15 inch limit and sometimes that is very difficult to overcome. I live 5 miles from Herrington but will drive the 30 miles to fish Beaver. The people at the dock are 1st class, also the people that I have met while fishing are all very nice. My big fish so far is 7.1 pounds and several between 5-6 pounds.
