    Talking Ok whos going?

Fellers,im hooked up and ready to go.Cant wait to get on that water. Its been a long, wet winter and work has been up to my eyeballs so this will be my first time since november.Ive been needing this and whether i catch some or not,ill be just glad to get out.Wish the river looked better at the lower or upper around Mcalpine so i guess i just might hit T-ville or Guist creek.Any info from either place froms guys who got out today? So who all is going and where?,and do you feel giddy like a school girl.lol.......John.

Does anyone know for sure if the boat dock at Guist is open right now or have a phone number to that place where you pay?Anyone know how much?

went to guist today. got there about 12:00 left at 3:00 fished main lake stuff. 10 to 30 feet. threw a heavy jig and a big deep running crank never got a bite.

water color is good only 39 degree's
dock is open launch is $5.00

wind was really blowing made it hard to work baits as slow as i wanted. saw 3 shad looked like they seen better days. still alive but not by much.

guess we need a couple warm weeks to bring the water temp up.
going to try beaver tomarrow. heading down about 2pm. I see if they have an updated tourn. schedule that i can post.

if i had a whole day i would go to cumberland.

Tracy, thanks for the update on Guist. Fisheater, I'm headed to Guist this morning, and like you; this will be my first time out this year. Looking at the weather channel looking like clear skies and 64 F high today awesome! I'm sure the lakes will be very busy today. Maybe I'll see you there if you go to Guist.

As a side note, I will be leaving some USA Bassin National Team tournament trail schedules at the dock for anyone who needs them.

Good luck to all who get out today

I know you've already got your questions answered, but just for future reference, Guist actually has a web site: http://www.guistcreek.com/

I haven't been in a while, but it's always been $5. They have a drop box in case you show up before they're open. Be sure to write your license # on the envelope.

Hey, was that your Jeep at Taylorsville? How early did you get there to get that #1 spot by the ramp? We didnt do any good at all except for getting to be there after the rain.

Yea that was me.We didnt get there to about 9:30,i dont see how that spot was open? Was glad though, lol. All we caught was a drenching. We were wanting to go to the river but it wasnt in real great shape for what we were wanting to do.All i really wanted was a nice cruise and to warm my arm up for a real lake.Felt good to get out and run her anyway.

I was cleaning out some brush and weeds around my pond. I could not resist so I went and got a rod. Fished about 15 minutes had 3 fish and lost 2 before I could get them in. It has been a great weekend another week or two like this the fish will turn on.

Nice smallie, makes me even more excited that my Dale trip is coming up next month. So did she stay down the whole time or give you a few jumps?Water on THE DEAD SEA today was right at 40 degrees and chocolate milk.Water coming down from the clouds felt about 20 degrees but even with that all familiar sting of it hitting you while running wot i still had a relaxing, enjoyable day.
