Went to the river today, fished from burkesville upstream about 4 miles, trolling small cranks, and casting small jigs. Caught and released at least 12 white bass, and two brown trout. This is the first time in a lot of years that the whiteshave been this numerous down here,And a few of them were aroung a pound and a half,a lot of fun.But I know they run in cycles, and wonder when the word spreads, if the hogs will ruin this fishery.A few tears ago, saw a couple of guys with stringers full of whites, and most of them were around 8 or nine inches. So when you fillet them, and cut out the red meat, you got about two ounces of fish, I tried eating them several times, they are not that good to eat.Wonder how many of them were just relagated to the garbage can?
