still a little cold for me to expect the jerkbaits to work. once the temp gets in the 48-50 range, i find the jerkbait bite is MUCH better. don't give up on them yet!

Got one smb close to 4 lbs, thwe other one maybe 14 inches.Water temp was near 45,and never saw another boat. fished indian and west creek. Never had any thing on the lucky craft lures or the new rapalas. Only marked one pod of bait fish, and that was small.Had two pull downs on the float, but didn't even feel them when I set the hook.Is it ever going to get warm? Will try the river tommorow, maybe the trout will be more cooperative.

Give up? after ordering 5 of them, and a bunch of suspend strips.I saw in your post you launched at star point, is that a fee ramp. or is it a free one?I'm fed up with dale hollow state park, and sulpher creek. These old knees cant take all that hill climbing to the vechicle,And I'm leery of using the ramp at plank road.I love to fish dale for the big bluegill, but think I may have fouind a spawning area at cumberland.
Not quite time for the jerkbait just yet, but it's coming. 50 degree water and above and it's on, if it ever happens, lol.Got one smb close to 4 lbs, thwe other one maybe 14 inches.Water temp was near 45,and never saw another boat. fished indian and west creek.
