    Nashville bound.

Well since the weather is about to get nasty I am just gonna up and leave town. Heading to Nashville to the Opry Mills Mall and the Bass Pro Shop there. I'm hoping they have some items in stock that Clarksville IN. didn't have. I went there twice and struck out on about nine items I had on my list that they didn't have in inventory! You'd think that since this is their Spring classic sale they would at least have the Lowrance fishfinder I was looking for...Oh well good weather is coming soon. Good luck to all.

if the local bp doesnt have what you want, ask one of the attendants, they can turbo it from another store. be there in less that a week. i just got back from nashville bp, they didnt have the pro qualifier rain suite in my size. they got it from another store. you can also order online, you still get the sale price.

    Re: Nashville bound.

Patoka Larry lives in Georgetown just down the road from the Clarkville Bass Pro Shop. He has been trying to get me to drive up there and visit the BPS.

According to many people the Clarksville BPS is huge. I have yet to visit it and right now since we have a ****'s Sporting Goods Store in Town, Two Durahms Sporting Goods Store and the new Gander Mountain Store I really don't have to drive that far to find excellent selection of fishing tackle.

The only thing that I would like to get is a Tite Loc Rod holding system. For some reason Gander does not carry that sort of thing. But Gander was carrying the Bass Tracker Boats. But before they could go though an entire year I heard from one of the Evansville's Store's Employees that Gander was going to stop selling boats here. Hell they didn't even have a spring or summer boating season. I guess those boys up in Minnesota don't understand that down here we buy more boats in the spring than in the winter months. Now people from the Evansville, IN area will have to drive all the way to Owensboro, KY or up to Patoka Lake to buy a Tracker Boat. I hope that the employee was wrong or that corporate HQ at Gander reverse that decision. They should let the boats stay though this year and see if they sell more boats and can justify the space they take up. After all most of the boats are on the front sidewalk. They don't take up much room inside the store. I wonder what they will put for sale on the old floor space when they stop displaying the boats?

That Clarksville BPS is definitely bigger and has a better selection than both the Nashville and Knoxville stores.

    Re: Nashville bound.

Just got back and it was the right call. Missed the bad weather altogether and got most of what I needed at BPS. Nashville changed thir fishing section for the Spring Classic and enlarged their area by 25 to 30 %....so they were competitive to Clarksville. All in all it was a great weekend. Glad to hear the 60 degree weather is coming back and might hit the water.
