I was up there about 2 years ago for a week. It is HUGE. I went the week of the 4th of July and it was one of their worst weeks of fishing, so don't go then. The owner of the place we stayed said that they had been limiting out on walleyes about 2-3 weeks before I got there. From what they told me the problem at the time I was up there was that the mayfly hatch was on. You could see them on the water and according to the locals there were huge pools of them under the water that the fish were gorging on. I ended up finding some fish at the end of the week in a cove. They were mostly smallmouth and pike. I went with my wife so we spent alot of time sight seeing. I didn't really fish hard. My recommendation, which I didn't do, is to get a guide the first day and then fish on your own the rest of the week. It is one of those lakes that every place looks like it should hold fish, but that's not the case. Also, they have a float plane that goes to the different lodges and will take you on a ride over the lake area. That was fun and worth the money. The pilot let me fly the plane a little. There's a casino on the lake as well.
Hope this helps.
