    Hendricks Creek- Dale Hollow

Cant wait untill next weekend!! Going to sling some bobbers and some jigs at dale. Can anyone tell me if the water is up and if I can launch at Hendricks creek. Its one of my favorite places to fish this time of year and would like to put in and just start right off the bat. I havent been down since sometime in feb so any info on the lake conditions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I know Holly Creek is deeper than Hendricks Creek, but with the amount of water that was in Holly this week, Hendricks will not be any problem to launch from. I say that tounge in cheek, for they have been pulling water thru Dale to generate especially when Cumberland is not. With the rain and snow that fell on both lakes, I would say you will be ok. Call Hendricks marina and ask them before you go or call the One Stop and ask Steve Headrick for he should know as well. Good Luck

There is plenty of water at Hendricks. The lake bottomed out around 634.9, the level this morning was 643+, that is almost 10 ft. There never was a problem launching when the water was low, their ramp was usable all winter for bassboats, wouldn't have wanted to try a 30 footer though !!

The real reason I wanted to know about the water being up some is some of my spots up hendricks. Fish had been backed off of them a little bit and were a little harder to catch than in the past.lol Now I can put it and go straight across and start fishing!

I've been launching at Hendricks for several months. It was down, but still doable. I noticed the same deal on those fish with this exception...

The water started rising because of all the fronts so in the short days that I've been able to check them, they have been backed away on the drops wherever that may be. However, I do find the occasional fish up on that grass feeding.

Thats a good thing to know bassman30, thanks for sharing the info. Where I havent been down in so long, sounds to me like im going to have to do some graphing before daylight up in creeks. You would think, or atleast I would anyway, that when the lake started to rise the fish would move up on the breaks that im talking about. I know of atleast 4 or 5 deep breaks and then when the water is up there are some REALLY good breaks that ALWAYS hold fish. Guess one will never know unless he goes! Thanks to all who replied to my message. If I catch one I will name him after you...lol
