I love Lake Malone - it's one of those love it or hate kind of lakes. There are big bass in that lake. I think the next state record will come from there. Blue Gill fishing is excellent too with crickets. When I lived in Bowling Green I fished it all the time, but haven't been back since i moved. If you do a seach on Lake Malone threads you will find a lot of info as we have discussed it on here many times.

I go down there every year on the 4th of july. I get away from the stress of bass tournys and catch bluegill and catfish, kinda nice. As long as you are done before the jet skiers wake up!!! Also be careful if you go there are alot of blind-tight turns..And huge boulders too...

Looks like a great spot for relaxing on the water. Folk are really nice down there. There are some very nice properties with yards that extend right to the water's edge and everyone seems to have a private dock. Be aware that some of the homes are junky, not taken care of and eye sores, also many of the properties are on a bluff wall with no good access to the water. Overall, the home owners seems to have much better water and dock rights than the typical KY lake. For some reason when I think back on my time there all I get is an image of a woman cutting her grass down by the water in a bikini! Can't seem to get that image out of my head

Good choice, I'd say, as long as you don't mind being in the middle of nowhere

several 5-8 lbs bass there if you can catch them. we have 2 club tournaments there each year. usually takes close to 18lbs to win it. nice little restuaraunt on the water to at shady cliff. but state has the better of the two boat ramps. just dont back in too deep, you will drop your trailer. LOL or should i say pay attention when your backing down the ramp, when your rear tires are in the water your too far! just speaking from a brain fart i had one morning.
