Elwood I doubt if you will have clear enough water in Guist this time of year for the fly. Jigs is what you want to fish, any color as long as it's black and blue. I wouldn't go over 3/8oz this time of year with 1/4oz being my first choice. Fish the deeper rock walls that have the channel swinging near them. Fish it out fairly deep into 15 feet or so before crankin in to throw another cast. There are some pigs caught from the Creek in March every year and it's always on the jig. Another tip, use pork as your trailer instead of plastic up there this time of year.
Your right on the money there Mark that would be exact to what i would have said umm scary lol![]()

Going to have to go against the grain on this one. Bigger flies on (white/chat) rocked on Stoner in colored water.
Give it a sling. You know where and how.

Do what you want. No way Guist is clear right now, waisting your time if you ain't throwing that jig.
What do you mean crappie don't count...LOL!!!!
Haven't heard anything else yet

I'd like to have me a mess of crappie right now, mmmm, mmmm. My wife's beer batter, some cole slaw, hush puppies and Bud Light, dang it boys I'm hungry. Keep us posted, like Mr Wigglesworth said this blow by blow is kinda cool.
I bet he got a good one on the fly..Good chop on the water, the fish cant stand it. I cant wait to hear the resuts.
Hey George, great minds think alike, lol. I grew up on the Creek, we had a camp there for 17 years, that ole lake fishes the same way it always has. Go to the dock and ask Charlie McClain what to do and see what he says. That guy has caught more bass out of Guist than all the fisherman on this site times two.
