Kentucky boy here, headed down for my first crappie trip to Lake Weiss...staying at Chestnut Bay the week of March 23-29. My buddy Joe and 9 of his friends do this trip every March, but I reckon there was a cancellation this year and I snuck in as the #10 man. I'm really looking forward to it!

I hear that we'll mostly be trolling, but liable to shoot some docks and float some minnows too when the trolling is done. I'm hearing talk of trolling "Jiffy Jigs" and having a great time.

Any pointers? How's the weather liable to be down there? Water low? What's the size like on those big slabs?
