Don't know why you only get 2 years out of the Everstarts...I have a 70lb. thrust MG on my boat and I'm going on the 4th season with the same batteries. I plug my batteries up to the outlet when I get back home and leave them plugged up until I use the boat again. Which is almost every weekend from March to Nov. unless I'm down in my back that is.

But if your wanting something to last about 4 or more years then you'll have to spend the money on a couple of Optima Batteries in the Blue Top style. They go for about 165.00 plus tax. Sam's carries them at their stores.

I'm a big fan of Trojan. If you buy a battery at Wally World, buy it in the spring and take it back the following spring before the warranty expires. They will not check it and will give you a new one but by then you will probably need one. A friend works in the battery bidness and he once told me about the difference with battery colors and where they were from and how long they last. I'll ask him again.

i am going on 7 yrs with my ac delco batteries and they are still going strong. I switched them out for the batteries in the new boat that i bought and have had no problem. The new boat which is over 5 yrs old now had interstate in it and i kept the cranking battery which i had to replace 2 yrs ago so i bought another delco but only the 27 series instead of the 30 series which is what i use for my trolling motor. I get a deal on them though because my uncle owns a body shop so i get them through him at ky motors for around $100 each. I would go with delco if i was you.

interstate have worked the best for me. I bought two BPS XPS trolling batteries for 39.99 each at one of the spring classics one time and got four years out of them. I was suprised, It may have been a fluke also. I am running on 5 years with my interstate and my dads boat is running on 6 or 7 years.

I second the AC Delco batteries. Let me know if you want some of them, I work at a Chevy store so they are pretty easy to come by.

Id stick with the Everstarts. Everywhere your ever gonna go fishing theres always a Wal- Mart close by if you do have a problem. I automatically take mine back every year, no questions asked and I always have new batteries.

AC Delco Voyager, all the way. Still have an original in my boat that is getting ready for its 13th season. Replaced starting battery last year and first trolling motor battery year before last.

I ALWAYS go with the Everstarts. I just replaced mine this year because I wanted too, not because I needed too. I was looking at the sticker on the side of the battery and it was labled April 04. I figured I got 4 seasons out of them and with no problems whatsoever. I run a 74 MinnKota and those batteries work great. Now, they are the 27 series batteries and I use a 31 series for the start battery.
Like everyone else said----there's always a Wal-Mart around if you have a problem.

Im like most of the other guy's that run the everstarts they last about 4 seasons....you cant just charge them and expect them to live. Maintain them, add distilled water every 2 or 3 charges(not tap water) charge them as soon as possible after using them. When buying them look on the side of the battery there is a mfg date buy the newest one you can in the store. If your batteries last 2,3,4 or more years think of how much you've fished, deep cycle battery life is not rated in years it's life span is rated in discharges the more you run it down and bring it back the sooner it dies,if you dont maintain it it dies that much quicker.
