Not really ideal fishing conditions on any of the 5 days on this water. One of the guys that worked for me in Shelbyville said his Brother In Law works for the fisheries department and they shocked up a new state record Green in Guist back in 2005. Since I did and could not see the fish that hit my crankbait yesterday, my guess is it had to be the new state record, or at least that is my story and I am sticking to it.

Elwood, I would love to fish my ol fishin hole with you but unfortunately I am married to the big lakes here now. Doesn't sound like you are getting on the water there at the right times for sure. I don't ever remember doing much out there on that lake with muddy water. Unless the fishing has changed there give it a try in April after the water warms into the 50's with a black/silver shadrap on the main lake....those fish there used to just love that lure, even during the night tournaments there in the summer time. If you go again this summer in the heat of the day, try stroking a jig like we do down here on the deep stumps (if they are still there) off the '60 wall....I went back up there the first summer I was down here after having learned that technique here and killed them out there. Can't wait until you get down here for the flower bite...looking forward to a really fun trip.
