I think Flouro can be very useful, especially for jigs and worms. You really get alot more feeling of the bottom as well as the action of the lure. I like 12-15 lb. for jigs and worms. I have lost very few fish with the flouro (no more than mono) - but you really have to pay attention to your knots and I re-tie often. I use Flouro almost exclusively, and it definitely takes some time to get used to. If you decide to try it, get a good brand (seaguar, trilene 100% would be my top two.) If you really want to see how much you can spend - try a texas rig set-up with Flouro and match it up with a tungsten weight. You will be able to feel everything it comes in contact with. This is my favorite set-up, and my go-to set-up for most of the year.
