There have been more accruate paper maps of Ky Lake than the old original Hot Spots for years...the latest is the Atlantic Mapping Co GPS maps...very accurate. By the way, brush piles that are put in by anyone rot out over time..get washed away in floods..etc..if not replaced you won't find them...also there are hundreds of folks here putting in brush piles..just because you did not find one on a spot marked on your map and you found one some tens of yards away does not mean you found the one you thought you were looking for...if I had a dime for all the brush piles on these lakes I could retire again tomorrow. The new Navionics chips are more defined than the old ones..I suggest that Hot Spots probably used the information on some of the more detailed maps like the TVA maps or the Atlantic Maps for the better detail. Pat Hahs maps are excellent for the areas he has mapped..which by the way I was the primary consultant for the areas to be mapped.
