I'm with Andrew on this one. The promised money to the educational system will not be there and what is there will be wasted. I came to this conclusion based on a history of watching politicians lie to get anything they want for their pet projects and to repay the people who gave them tons of money to get elected. Florida was going to get miliions and millions for their educational system with the Lottery, well many years later my sister still pays for quite a bit of supplies for her students and the pay stinks! What do you think they sold the public on when proposing the lottery?
Another problem aside from the crap that comes with it is that we (tax payers) will be paying for gambling addicted bozo's who have to either go on welfare because they are losers who can't control themselves or they will spend their government funds which should go to food and raising kids. It will be a mistake....So more money goes to the casinos, they don't raise our taxes immediatly (ha) and we pay in the long run from a tax on gamblers rehab facilities and additional taxes because we have more Kentucky families going on Government support.
