Well i finally got to go to the lake this past week. I fished out of Beaver Creek thurs, fri, and sat morning. i was there with my best friend and it has been a while since the last time we were on the lake together. We did pretty well considering what i have read for reports on here so far. We had 4 fish on thurs. and 8 on fri. and then 2 early on sat. before we got off the water at 10am. We only caught 1 fish on live bait and it was the first one we caught on thurs. The fish were hitting much better in the evening and we even caught a few on slivers after dark on fri. We had to use shiners for bait which i do not like, because they would not let us put lights out at Beaver Creek Marina unless we had a slip and none of the slips over deep water were available. So anyway back to the fish. We caught a few small stripers but had 2 pushing 20lbs. and all the rest were between 10 and 15. Most were caught on 3/4 oz. white bucktails with a white trailer. The fish were right up on the bank and you can see them rolling in the morning and in the evening if the wind lets up. We could hardly get the fish that were rolling in the morning to eat but the evening the fish were hitting pretty decent. We released all our fish to fight another day. We did much better once we reeled in the planer boards and just went to casting the jigs and slivers. So not bad numbers with 14 fish between the 2 of us. My friends and my uncle who backed out are kicking theirselves now. Oh well maybe they will go next time.
