    Re: Everyone's favorite line

For the price and durability I fish with BPS Excel in 10,12 and 14 lb test. My father tends to get a few birds' nests while out with me so I go through a lot of line. Gotta like those big BPS excel spools! For clear waters of St. Clair and Dale...Pline Fluoroclear in 8lb.

I prefer Vicious Line. Made in USA. Good as any other brand and better than most. Comes in large spools.

Seaguar flouro for everything above 12 lbs. Trilene 100% Flouro for under 10 lbs. Gamma for my non-flouro set ups.

Another vote for Excel. I've used it for years in all lb. tests.

Ande Line. All sizes, floro and/or mono. This is the all-time leading line for IGFA World Records which says a lot considering the plethora of brands available to us. If you haven't ever tried it, I would strongly suggest you do so. Stren, Trilene, etc, pale in comparison. And pretty much anything is better than something made for or by BPS. BPS gear is a joke whether it's line or lures, clothes or beer coozies (the latter being the only worthwhile product from BPS to own if you must own something from BPS.)

Sufix is my choice for mono and braid. They also have come out with a briad that will glow under the blacklight (red). It is really good stuff.
Fluorocarbon, I am undecided. I am using P-line Halo right now and I like it pretty good. I will try the Seaguar Invizx next, am hearing a lot of good reports from this line.

You have got to be kidding, BPS gear and equipment is not a joke, they actually have some great stuff. I don't use all their stuff but then again who would?

I totally agree with DJD here. BPS makes some outstanding products. I use some of their lines, not too crazy about the lures, but the rods and reels are great for the price. I will put my Johnny Morris signature and elite reels up against any reel in that price range - they outperform my quantum energy's and I love those.
