Ive only been fishing at night here recently. Im sure live bait and jigs will do well in the mornings.
Thanks for the replies. I will most likely put in around Wolf creek somewhere. Who knows where ill end up. Might see ya out there!
Just for what it is worth we are under a flood watch/warning Thur. and Fri. here at the lakeC. area. Please be careful if you go out.
Hey Pro V, we met once before through your neighbor Duayne. Forecast up in Louisville is that Sat & Sun should be clear. Jamestown forecast is through Louisville office, so it's the same. Does the local weather forecasts down there show Sat & Sun being clear and in the low 60's? Appreciate the update.
Sat/ Sun look OK it was Thur/ Fri when some said they were going that I made the post about.
markmac60 stop by anytime, I should be here the next two weeks.
Limited out tonight guys. between the three of us we had a 18,14,12, and three that were in the 10lb range. Good night overall and good luck to you guys. She is starting to turn on and will only get better in the weeks to come.
What were you guys hitting them on? Creeks or the main lake?
Jigs and slivers @ mid creek should do the trick.
Awsome thanks for all the info. Now I am just hoping not to drown with all the rain comming![]()
Hello everybody! I'm new here & this will be my first post. We fished mid creek yeterday & caught 7 stripers, 2 nice largemouth & 1 kentucky throwing 4" plastic swim baits in pearl color. they were all right off the bank of a steep slope over about 30 feet of water. all caught a few hours before dark.
Welcome Grouse
Sounds about right... Caught many on smaller plastics casting for smallies in the same area as stripers around this time of year.
Nothing like a 20# striper on light tackle.
Caught one and missed two in about an hour weekend before last on a jig.
