North KY. Lake / Barkley

Will be there 4/11/08 thru 4/14/08. Staying @ Green Turtle Bay Resort. Just wanted to know my options for putting a boat with tandem trailer in the water on North Ky. Lake. Can you put in @ the Ky. Dam village?? I assume I can put in @ Green Turtle Bay Marina on Barkley side?? Any info appreciated. I may need to adjust my plans accordingly...

you can still put in at KDV. TVA is predicting the water to be at 363.4 by mid on the 11th. they are pulling it down 4-5 tenths a day. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

The Corps ramp at Double Creek by the locks on Barkley is usable..without getting your feet wet as long as you have a keel protector and pull up to the ramp to pick up your passengers.

The Keel gaurds are definately worth their money Dave. I load and unload alot by myself and there is no telling what my keel would look like if i didnt have one.

That keel guard comes in handy too right now with all the debris on the lakes. When I first came down here to the lakes the boat I had did not have one...my keel looked terrible after the first season here...learned my lesson.
