I would say it is very fishable. Kentucky doesn't stain up near as bad as Barkley. I will be out there tomorrow.

    Re: Is KY fishable?

I just came in from the lake. I took my 8 yr old out on the lake for a lil while. Ky is heavily stained but very fishable. WIth the water back up (and still rising) the fish have scattered again. But the 2 hrs we were out there we did catch 8. I talked to another guy that had been to Barkley and he said its VERY muddy. Water temps around 57 this afternoon. me and my boy are going back out in the morning,He's just 8 but that lil man loves to fish...... Good Luck Guys!!!!!!!!!

My clients today had somewhere around 19-20 lbs today on their best 5...take that behind a cold front any day of the week..yes it is fishable but still rising..watch for wood.
