been violated!
My 07 chevy pick up, will probably be totaled,The boat is full of tree limbs,my tackle box is waterlogged and hail damaged, but other than that and some house damage, I'm alive, and consider myself quite fortunate. One second we were taking an afternoon nap, and the next, the bed was full of glass and golf ball and bigger hail stones. But at least it wasn't a tornado, that could have been serious!!!

Good to see you made it through.
Are you down around the Tenn. border?

Re: been violated!
I rode it out here in the trailer at Grider Hill on L. Cumberland. The wind and hail was unreal, the docks got alot of damage, lost roofs etc.
No one hurt here that I know of.

Re: been violated!
I already have an appointment with the adjuster for Tuesday on the truck, that's pretty fast in my opinion. Now I don't know what to do, having it fixed, or just keep it with the dings, and use the money to for something else.

Re: been violated!
Do you still think it will be totalled? If not and it was close then I would fix it, but if the dings were minor then I would keep the vehicle. The Sun will help reduce the minor dings but the big ones are there for ever.
Look at the bright side...you don't need to worry about door dings and scratches.

Re: been violated!
I had a car once that was totalled from hail. It still ran good and other than cosmetic damage it was good. You can buy it back at salvage cost. That way you will get your check for the damage, and give a portion of it back for a salvage title.
It sounds like you have good insurance too. Hopefully they will be good to you. Remember - they make offers (not set prices) you can negotiate with them. Good luck to you, and thakfully it was only material things.
