I went scouting last week and with all the high water around here i couldnt even get to where i normally hunt. I found some birds in another spot, that i killed one a few yrs ago.
I went out Sat. morning, heard 2 birds gobble (dont know how with all the wind) by the time they flew down they just shut up. I hunted till almost 2 in the afternoon and never heard a peep.
It was too windy to fish so it wasnt a completely lost day...
