Herrington Whites

[Bonefish]

Went ot Herrington on last Thursday. We started at Bryant's and went up to Rankin's. With the lake being full, the lake is backed up way past Rankin's Bottom. We caught 14 for the day on small shad crank baits. All of them over 2 lbs. Good fish, but you had to put a lot of effort in finding them. I am not sure if the fish are coming up the river or have spawn and are heading back down. We did not do any good up in Rankin's Bottom. We caught all the fish down in the deeper water. Only one fish had eggs. Maybe someone has some thoughts on what they are doing. They seemed to be scattered.

I'm sure the water is still up but was it muddy still?

I'm not having any luck in 08. Frustrated about high waters and muddy waters.

Water color is clear in the upper lake at this time. I have not been back since last Thursday so I don't know what the fish are doing.
