Geo,
We got to Ky this afternoon and fished from 1pm till almost dark. We put in at Blood River and moved North up the main lake fishing the coves / points off the main lake. We managed to boat some pretty nice bass today (nothing massive but several that were nice keepers, biggest was a little over 18in).
We tried a ton of different patterns but seemed to have the best luck on creature plastics cast near the banks / brush. We tried several different colors / types, I had the best luck on a zoom baby brush hog.
(we did catch one massive 15" black crappie on one of the baby brush hogs) Only crappie we seen the entire afternoon.
Later in the evening we switched over to spinners (white and chartruse) and caught several nice bass out around the flooded brush areas. We were in about 5 or so feet of water. Most of them came off the points of the brush, I dont think we caught a one from inside the brush piles.
The fish are big time scattered, we covered a lot of water to catch what we did. Major cold tonight has us worried it will scatter the fish even more, let ya know tomorrow night how it turns out!
PS Dave's report is spot on as always we used most of the patterns he listed.
