KYL and Barkley Water Report

All- I see the water is coming down in both lakes finally and that Barkley is still muddy What are the water temps looking like a after a few days of sun and do we have debri still floating around in both lakes???

p.s. when we say Barkley is muddy, are we saying it is too muddy to want to fish for bass and crappie???

David, the last few days the water temps haven't jumped much because of the cold nights we had, but i would look for that to change now that the night temps are staying mild. Most all the debris has cleared up on the lakes. There are a few floaters out there but its really in good shape. KY lake is stained and in good shape. Barkley is really muddy, TOO muddy for me to fish it. ALot of ppl are just fishing ky because the water clarity makes it so much better for fishing.... They are predicting rain for us tomorrow(AGAIN) if we get much rain it will only make Barkley more muddy.

Actually some of the creeks are clearing on Barkley...I was on north Barkley today and northside creeks I was in were cleared up or just lightly stained...creeks on the south side (LBL) I was in were still heavily stained...reports I received yesterday indicated the mid Barkley around the 68 bridge creeks were muddy.

Thanks to both guys! I'm staying in Grand Rivers so I guess I will trailer it down LBL area and launch on KYL side. Messes up all my honey holes on Barkley but at least the weather looks good for my Sat-Wednesday visit.
