Re: Backseat for Corinth Lake Tuesday

Watch that ramp Elnut...it drops off like a mother at the water line, or at least it did a couple of years ago when I last went. No big motor, so you're trolling motor will get a good workout.

Nothing wrong with a dink-parade, and there are plenty of 12-inch anklebiter bass in there...BUT...If I was you, I would leave the bass rods in the locker and take me a couple of ultralights and pick bluegill and warmouth out of the grass, then yank some shellcrackers up off the bottom.

    Good luck man!

Good meeting you as well Mark. Yourself and Mickey did a whole lot better than we did that day. Funny how we planned this week back in January since the Jap patrol makes Cliff schedule his time off years, decades in advance. Same week last year and we killed the 3-5 pounders but this past week we killed the 8-14 inchers. Bite is really good when I am catching 8" fish on a 4" King Shad swimbait. Could not get the big ones to bite consistently on anything. Dave Stewart started killing them about 2 hours after we left Friday afternoon, figures that is how our luck runs. We are half way back to the house and the big girls turn on and bite. April 1-4th, the water was 2-3 feet above summer pool and 58 degrees, we show up the 12th and it is still 3 feet above and 58 degrees. Thought we would kill them last week, maybe my son, wife and I will kill them May 3-7th when we come back down. My luck says the water will be 6 feet below summer pool and 56 degrees by then or 8 feet above summer pool and 85 degrees, who knows.
