Planning on fishing Laurel Lake for 2 nights next week and am looking for a place to stay. I called about 15 different hotels in London and Corbin but none of them have hookups for my boat. Any suggestions, prefer London if possible.

elwood , check the bfl site mountain division. it might have some lodging info for hotels in the london, corbin area considering they are fishing laurel saturday. as strange as it may seem i've never looked into any of the lodgings around there. i 'll do some research and see what i can find out.

Here are some lodging places in it gives on the laurel lake site. got numbers and directions to the hotels
You might give London Boat Dock on Lake Cumberland a call about their cabin rentals. I've never stayed in them but from what have seen in passing they look pretty nice. I don't think you'd want to fish out of London Dock, but I do believe they are open, not sure on the cabins as far as season or if they are renting them at this time due to the condition of the lake.
If you wanted to fish out of Holly Bay (Laurel) you'd only be a 10 minute or so drive down the road (@ London Dock), which would be closer than most if not all lodging in proximity to Laurel Lake, and i'm sure there would be power for your charger. There number if you are interested is Phone: (606) 864-5225
Stayed at Super 8 in London about one month back on the first floor. We backed the boat in the parking space outside the room, unhooked the boat, and backed the truck in the space next to it. Fortunately, the vending/ice room was adjacent to our room with an electric outlet inside. Extension cord to boat for a few hours charged us up. No one said anything to us...
plus you didnt have to buy Ice... lol... hehehehe
if u can get a down stairs room just back your boat up to your door and run the cord out the door from the room..... that should work but just make sure u take atleast a 50 footcord.....
Someone had bent open the screen enough for us at Barren and we ran a cord out the window to the boat. Looks like I will have to do this again. Never been to Laurel but sure does sound a lot like Barren River with very little "Fisherman Friendly" accomodations. Seems to me that if a guy was to build 2 bedroom cabins, exactly like the ones that John Davis has on Dale, with aluminum boat ports next to each so a guy can back his boat under cover with hookups in each is MONEY. Put this around any of the "Good" lakes in Ky priced reasonably and they would stay booked up from March thru October and depending on the lake some in the winter as well. It takes money to make money and if I had money, this would be a good way to expand the wallet even more.
You are correct but as a sportsman this might cut into your time on the water, alot of responsibility and upkeep to keep people coming back.Someone had bent open the screen enough for us at Barren and we ran a cord out the window to the boat.
