Lake Linville

Does anyone have any advice for fishing Lake Linville in Rockcastle County? I'll be fishing it for the first time this week and have not heard or seen any reference to this body of water. I hardly ever see any boats on this lake and wonder if it is a dead sea for bass fishing?

No theres definately people that fish it,its usually packed.But for bass fishing its not a trophy lake but it has some goodens in it,but they are really hard to catch even for the experienced angler.Myself ive seen a 9.12 taken out of there and watched the guy catch it.But my biggest out of there was probably around 4.Alot of little fish

Facing from the Interstate, on the right side there is a old road bed. If I remember correctly its 10 or 15 yrds off the bank so you will most likely have to fish open water and not cast the bank. It starts about 100 or 150 yrds from the dam, from there it runs about 300 or 400 hundred yrds before it ends. Several tourneys have been won there.
I hope you guys remember me in the fall if you jump some quail, or grouse.
