As Mark Zona said about fishing the Swim Bait at El Salto with Hackney and Swindle "Just throw it". Henson was wearing me out last week at Barkley with the Red Eye Shad. He caught them straight reeling them just off bottom, just under the surface, mid depth, lift and drop, anyway he wanted to fish it, is the way they seemed to want it. Darndest thing I ever saw. I literally tied on 5 different traps, 4 different cranks, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, poppers, and jerkbaits and they wanted nothing of mine. Fish busting shad all around us and he is reeling them in one after another and no takers for me. I still say it was due to me being in the BACK OF THE BOAT, at least as my wife says "Whatever it takes" which means whatever excuse I want to tell myself to ignore the obvious, I GOT WAXXED!!!!!!
