I'd attempt to ask the next in line to move to the 2nd launch area and if he did not move to it...I'd then proceed to move to it to show that more than one boat can launch at a time......

Okay, for the sake of discussion, let's try this one:
A boat ramp has two clearly marked staging lanes side by side. The two lanes allow trucks and trailers to line up two wide for rapid fire launching and trailering. You see that everyone is lined up in one lane, backing down one at a time. This leaves the other completely wide open.
Do you,
A. Line up in the one lane everyone else is in and wait as they go one by one
-OR-
B. Get in the open lane and attempt to show them that the second lane is there for a reason, but maybe anger a few in the process
Which one would you choose?

I would probably go with 'B', but would hold the staging spot long enough to see if anybody would comment on the move. If something was said then I would give way for one trailer to jump ahead of me. No more than one though.
If everyone was just sitting there watching the grass grow, I would use the other lane.
I would LOUDLY ask the people in line if there was something wrong with the open lane. If no one said anything was wrong, I would ask if anyone minds my using it since they are not using it and see what is said. After that if no one makes any moves to use the epen lane, I would use it. Then if anyone complained, I would say: "But I offered to let you go first and still no one is using the lane so I am going to!"
Grumpy
I would go with B.

1. If you are going to give quizes, then I'd like to be warned so I can study.
2. I think the answer is "True".
3. If True is not correct, then I'll go with "C".
Now I'm going to go get an aspirin, becasue this stress is giving me a headache.
Last time this ramp situation happened to me, I asked all, got no answers, backed down the second ramp, and dropped a trailer tire into a hole big enough to have swallowed my mother in law. I mean it was hugh!
First I would casually check the license plates to see how many were from that state from above(you know the one) which could answer several questions. Second I would walk down and look the ramp over and proclaim loudly that I can launch my cabin cruiser and sea doo's in this lane with no problem. Then if no one makes a move I'd back in and launch my boat. At this point all have had a chance and there should'nt be a problem.
Been there done that ... B.
I'd pull up in lane 2 but would give one or two the chance to move over if they want. If there were no takers I'd proceed on to launch.
Head for the open lane and just maybe some of those "Sheep" would follow suit. Even worse is when someone backs their 14 foot jon boat down the middle of those two lanes. And of course they have to take everything out of the truck and put in the boat, and, and Oh way to go, now you got me started.....
I would probably get in line, then start asking around as to why nobody was using the other ramp. If nobody said, "Because of the giant sinkhole that could swallow Bob's mother-in-law," I'd move over and use it.
