Got a late start Sunday morning. Didn't get on the water until 9am and only fished a couple hours. Water temp 59-64 degrees. The water color was great. Water level about 18 inches below summer pool and they were releasing very little water. Trolled an area close to Emerald Isle Marina. Fished water between 12 and 17 feet deep. Pulled 2 long lines with deep diver crank baits and 2 Pink Ladies with Slurpies. Caught 6 keeper crappies, 4 of which were close to a pound each (females full of eggs) and 2 cats, the biggest was 4 pounds and full of eggs. It was a perfect morning to fish, no house boats, no big crusiers, only 1 jet ski and no bass boats passed with in 100 feet doing 60 miles an hour.
