Why is there a post CLOSED that questions the credibility of someone here but it is still readable. Either fix it or post the outcome of the accusations. The post is in my opinion raising concern of this member without all of the facts. I know there are many people wandering what happened.

The reason for the post is for all to read and then email or pm Jim Dickens with their individual concerns. Jim and I pm'd last night several times back and forth over the issue and he is in a fact finding mode right now. I did ask Jim to put up a post when the time comes to clear the air about all. For risk of being Banned on this site, I will say that the response that I saw from such individual explains his actions very well and I am done with it and have no hard feelings and don't feel this individual was acting in a manner to totally deceive or cheat any of us. That being said, he could have handled the situation better and explained why certain events took place instantly instead of letting us all think the worst. Once all facts are revealed each can make their own decision. Again, this is just my opinion based on what I read last night. I ask that we wait until Jim has all of the facts and then he will act appropriately.

i realy dont know what started all of this, but i thank people should get to know some one before thay start accuseing people of false claims. i dont know if this is suppost to be a big secret or what but i had a chance to fish with this person a few weeks ago. and from what i was told by him in person from the ride there and back where we fished the tournament. and i did help this person fish the tourney and pay club dues to be my non-boater so i did not get paired with another boater. any way the point is his story seems pretty legit to me. in fact i am fishing another tournament this week end with him and helping cover his coast. with that being said i dont mind helping people out but i hate to be takin advantige of to. and from what i know it dont seem like his intent to try scamming some one or any thing like that or i would not ask him to fish this tournament comming up. any way just my opionin of the topic.

it seems like any more in todays susiaty that people always try to find the negative things instead of the positive things in people or any thing else. it is in the news every day it seems like they have more negative news then positive news. so people are programed to expect the worse of every situation. the way i see it is that i treat people the way i would like to be treated and help people who are down in luck when i have a chance. and if i can take him fishing a day or two hear and there and it helps him forget about proublems or things like that then i feel like i did a good deed.

Chuck's response matched to a T in a part of what I read last night as well. More proof that we need to wait for the final results, but again this is even more of a reason to give the guy a break and the benefit of the doubt. I had let it go before Chucks post and it is gone even more now with more matching stories revealed. Elwood

this guy yall are talking about offered to do whatever he could during a family crisis that my fiance and her family were going thru and offerend to come and pray with us and or do whatever is needed.... i got him and his children hooked up with kyfw and kyfw donated his children some poles and tackle...... the man personally called me and thanked me for all my graciousness and everything..... But i think that this person has been thru enough and is hopefully genuine in all respects..... i would like to think that this man was coming to this site to talk about his problems and get them off his chest not to make people feel bad or want them to send money but just to talk and get a response..... it is much easier to type to someone and tell your story than it is to look someone in the eye and do it.... i personally dont feel that a person would use his children as a con because that would just be as low as a person could get..... my opinion might not amount to a hill of beans but sometimes when u walk a mile in someone elses shoes it might be alot harder to do......

i don't have a fish in this pond but i think it should have been handled very differently,like investigation done behind the scenes instead of all out in the open,i'm sure this guy will have some salt in his wounds..maybe next time you should investigate with pm's and emails instead of posts..as far as walking a mile in his shoes,i don't think i'd want to go a 1\4 mile,hope all turns out well for him..

I talked to him on the phone as well. He called to say thank you and that my donation was not necessary. I offered money for gas and to meet him and his 2 sons to take them fishing. He said that it was not necessary and that he had already planned the trip to the Fish an Game farm in Frankfort.
I think it's awesome how the people here at Fishin have come together to help someone and feel that all of this will be cleared up and his slate wiped clean and his membership re-instated.

I am the moderator that banned this individual. If you check back posts he was asked a simple question by me about why he had not met with ZX150 to get the equipment for his kids that we bought for them...he had ample times to do so and did not do it. He did not respond even after post was made addressing him directly on the board to call his attention to the posts with my questions. Since the individual would not communicate and others that had sent him equipment or money was questioning whether or not he was legit also on the same posts I made the decision to ban him. I figured this action would either get his attention or stop anyone else from being duped if this was the problem..from what I have read here from you folks, which by the way you did not speak up before in the past posts....I have decided to lift the ban. If I did wrong to this individual, I apologize to him and you....but the actions taken were taken because of the lack of communication from this individual especially since he made was being evasive about getting the equipment we purchased for his kids after finding out that the person he was to meet was a police officer. I have made donations of money and services over the years to folks and causes that have come up on this board totalling into the thousands of dollars...I have never had anyone act in this manner and I felt it was best to take an action to get things out in the open.

Anyway, the ban is being lifted and the individual is being notified of such...
