Yes I do! Its a great creek,with all types of fish in it. You can catch catfish,smallies,largemouth,perch,crappie,and bluegill on any given day .The lures I've had the best luck with are small rebel crawdads and white spinner baits.Mepps #2s and rapalas-silver and black do the trick to.The cats,flatheads and channels,can be caught on limblines or trotlines with minnows or small bluegills.Good luck

I caught a 20" lmb last weekend on a zoom 4" dead ringer ... I fish it quit a bit in the summer its a fun creek to wade just wondering if anybody else has caught any thing in that size range thats the biggest bass ive ever caught there

I caught a 17" smallmouth out of the fork last year...purely dumb luck. I took my son one evening, hoping to find him some bluegill to play around with. I was using a 1.5" Creme spoiler shad with a spinner blade attached. At first I thought I'd snagged on a rock...until the rock started moving. That evening made a believer of Floyds Fork out of me! I've fished it a few times since then and caught keeper-size smallmouth, mostly on the Creme shad. It doesn't make sense in my mind, but it seems to work.

I grew up fishing Floyds Fork in the Seatonville Road area..Used to wade it 3 or 4 times a week. Used to canoe it from Fisherville to Broad Run several times a year. Small crankbaits and rooster tails were the thing to throw. I have also had great success drifting minnows across the riffles. Used to tie and old floating minnow bucket to my belt loop. We also used to bank fish for cats and carp. When I was young we knew most every farmer from Seatonville Rd to Broad Run Rd so I never had any trouble with access..I am glad people still have interest in this creek.The Floyds Fork Preservation Group is trying to keep this great resource undeveloped. Each time I head out 148 to Taylorsville Lake I look at the fork and think about all the good times I had on that creek...

I grew up off seatonville road to and I still know alot of the land owners I know a place where I can literally drive to the creek and wade from there i caught quite a few 12-16" smallies in that area last year I caught the 20" Large mouth near Bardstown road has anyone tired tiny brush hogs with 32nd weight and size 1 or 2 worm hook they seem to work pretty good ...

I've had decent luck around the Bardstown Rd. overpass. I've just fished in that general area, haven't done any exploring, and I'm sure that area gets a lot of pressure. However, I have done quite well in that little area, especially noting how shallow the creek is right there. I've caught everything there too, largemouth, smallmouth, stripers, rock bass, bluegil, sauger, drum, etc.

I wade it sometimes but the best way to fish it is from a canoe. You will catch fish all day.

Love fishing in Floyd's Fork and Beshear's Creek. Fished a lot up in Indiana fishing the Little Blue River catching smallies and red eye's in the 14" to 16" sizes.

I've been thinking about heading out to Floyds Fork too now that one of my fishing buddies moved to Louisville. Is the city park on Taylorsville Road a good base to start from?
