I always use them. They are more dense (smaller in size for the same weight) and much harder. You can really feel the bottom much better than you can with lead. I put off using tungsten for a while, but I finally broke down and bought some, and it has made a huge difference. When you pair tungsten sinkers with some flouro (it is more sensitive) you have almost tripled your sensitivity from the mono and lead combo. I would suggest buying just a few of the size weights you use the most (in my case the 1/4 oz. bullet) in tungsten and trying it out. It does hurt when you lose one, but the benefits far outweigh the price. This is in addition to the environmental aspect of not using lead based products. Kevin
