BassJunkie is right on the money. IMO, recirculation is not a good practice for fish welfare. Fresh water and plenty of it is always the better option. I also use a pro-air system but I would put a much greater emphasis on fresh water and temperature.

You have to be careful how much rejuvenade to put in there too. It is kind of like a stimulant for fish - too much can be pretty harmful. I usually only use half of the ammount.

Moderators why don't we ban this weiner, everything he posts on this site is confrontational and quite frankly he acts like a kid and may be one. Anyway we don't need this crap on this site and I say ban this guy he has no benefit. If you think I'm kiddin check his posts you can do that and if 90% of his stuff isn't just bile I'll appologize.

I'd say 90% is being pretty conservative.

Only having it half full of water would have hurt the fish. I now use an Oxygenator by O2 marine. the one like Denny Brauer endorses, I have the portable unit and it seems to do a real great job, no lost fish, I will fill up the livewell and then every 1hr or so let it run and pump some old water off. The fish seem to love this thing as I have watched them in the livewell just hover over it. I also use the U2 formula that they sell also. This is a great product and I would recomend it to all.

    Re: Dead Fish

I was watching the B.A.S.S tournament from Kentucky Lake in '06 and Kevin Wirth had hooked a fish in the tongue and actually dabbed some "Please Release Me", (this is the additive that Roland Martin endorses and is sold at BPS) straight on the fish's wound and it stopped the bleeding and the fish recovered to be released alive. The announcers made a point of this during the replay.

And I also agree with banning the Bevo guy. Every post he makes is pretty derogatory. It is one thing to disagree to make a valid point, but to be constantly beligerent is another.....

    Re: Dead Fish

I did see a show recently where the "Pros Tip" was to add a little Hydrogen Peroxide to the livewell along with the Rejuvenate chemical. Get the livewell full before you put the first fish in it was also another tip by the same person. He said that putting a fish in a dry livewell then trying to fill it up did just as much damage as the initial catch in his opinion. With it full to begin with, the fish did not flip and flop around while water was pouring in on him or her.

Side note: Looks like I am not the only person that KNOWS Bevo adds nothing good to this site and should be banned. Banning Bevo, now that "Taste Good" somebody get the fillet knife and heat up the deep fryer.
