Have you been spying on my line collection. This is what I use. I tried the gamma flouro, but it for the money Seaguar is as good. I had my first break-off today with seaguar this year. A four pounder or so just out of the nets reach. I just got it un-hung, and probably should have re-tied, so I will take the blame for that one.

Seaguar is my favorite flouro line also. Ive learned though to keep a check on it. Ive always retyed often even when i used mono and still retye with the flouro.
I tried Vanish and just like everyone has said i had break off after break off, No matter how many times i checked mt line....

I've had nothing but bad luck with the Vanish as well. Have tried Seaguar and Gamma and like the both but are way to expensive. I've been using nothing but Vicious Flourocarbon for the last 3 years and have had no problems at all.

Not a fan of the vanish at all. I have been using the Trilene flouro and love it!

    Re: Braided Line vs Flourocarbon

I switched to Trilene 100% this year. I put it on my new JM Elite rod/reel combo and I love it. I spooled it on my main spinning outfit and it works great there as well. I have Power Pro braid (it seems to have worn out quick) on another round reel since Fluorocarbon sinks like a rock. I will probably find another braided line to use but I am sticking with Trilene 100%.

    Re: Braided Line vs Flourocarbon

I've used the Vanish on my FNF rigs and have no complaints with it in the 4lb-6lb line class.

Now, I spooled some 8lb Trilene 100% Flouro this weekend on a spinning reel and HATED it...

I'm pretty much a braid man...love PowerPro in 6/20 and have it on just about every reel I own, except for the crappie sticks. I have no big issues with it, love the way it casts, handles...and you can feel everything.
