DNR Lake Permit Question

Thinking about going to Patoka on Tuesday, where can I get a DNR lake permit (I think it's the yellow sticker of the boat on a ramp with the year on it) at or around the lake? Is there an office at Newton Stewart that has them and what are the hours if so? I'll be leaving from Huntingburg so anywhere around there or the lake would work for me.

Also, if anyone's fished Patoka recently, how's it looking? Bass spawning yet? Lake still high?

I think the only place you can buy a lake permit at Patoka is the property office. It is on the right just before you go through the gate at Newton Stewart. I don't know what hours they are open. The lake is still high, but falling. I have not bass fished there for a few weeks, but I hear the fishing is pretty poor. The small crappie are biting good, if that interests you.

or you can get one at the ramp if someone is taking boat launch fee,s that is where i got mine they have them. hey steve how are things going it has been awhile send me a private message with your email addy (jeff)
